New Wasaga Distribution Rates: Effective May 1, 2026
March 30, 2026
At Wasaga Distribution, we are committed to providing our community with safe, reliable, and efficient electricity. To continue investing in our local infrastructure and maintaining the high standard of service you expect, there will be a modest adjustment to our distribution rates effective May 1, 2026.
These adjustments ensure we can continue to modernize our grid, enhance system reliability, and respond effectively to the growing needs of our customers.
Understanding Your Bill
It is important to note that Wasaga Distribution only controls the portion of your bill related to electricity distribution. This includes the costs of building, maintaining, and operating the local system that delivers power to your home or business.
The remaining charges on your bill—such as electricity supply, transmission, and regulatory fees—are set by the province and are passed through to customers without markup.
The upcoming rate adjustment applies only to the distribution portion of your bill. While the change is modest, we understand that any increase matters. We encourage you to take a moment to review your bill so you can better understand the different components, including energy usage, delivery charges, and regulatory costs.
We remain committed to managing these costs responsibly while continuing to invest in a safe and reliable electrical system for our community.
