Ontario Energy Board Unveils New Rates

To Our Valued Customers,
The Ontario Energy Board (OEB) has announced updated electricity rates, effective November 1, 2025. These new rates are part of the OEB’s regular review process to ensure that energy costs are managed efficiently and continue to support reliable service across Ontario.
Starting November 1, residential and small business customers will see adjustments on their bills based on the new Time-of-Use (TOU) and Tiered pricing plans. Here is a brief overview of the changes:
Time-of-Use (TOU) – Winter Hours (Nov 1-Apr 30)

| Off-Peak | Weekdays 7 p.m.-7 a.m., Weekends & Holidays | 9.8¢/kWh |
| Mid-Peak | Weekdays 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. | 15.7¢/kWh |
| On-Peak | Weekday 7 – 11 a.m. & 5-7 p.m. | 20.3¢/kWh |
Ultra-Low Overnight (ULO) – Same Hours All Year
| Period | Hours | Price |
| Ultra-Low Overnight | 11 p.m. – 7 a.m. | 3.9¢/kWh |
| Weekend Off-Peak | 7 a.m. – 11 p.m. (Weekends & Holidays) | 9.8¢/kWh |
| Mid-Peak | 7 a.m. – 4 p.m. & 9-11 p.m. (weekdays) | 15.7¢/kWh |
| On-Peak | 4-9 p.m. (weekdays) | 39.1¢/kWh |
Tiered Pricing
| Tier | Usage | Price |
| Tier 1 | First 1,000 kWh/month (residential) or 750 kWh/month (small business) | 12.0¢/kWh |
| Tier 2 | Usage above threshold | 14.2¢/kWh |
