October 27, 2023

Dear Customers,

The Ontario Energy Board (OEB) announced significant changes to the Regulated Price Plan (RPP) Time of Use (TOU) rates, Tiered Rates, and Ultra Low Overnight (ULO) rates, all set to take effect on November 1st, 2023. Additionally, Ontarians have reason to celebrate as the Ontario Electricity Rebate is set to receive a substantial boost, with the rebate increasing to 19.3% also effective November 1st.

The OEB’s announcement, made on Thursday, October 19th, 2023, comes as part of the ongoing commitment to providing consumers with more flexible and cost-effective energy pricing options.

Here is a breakdown of the upcoming changes:

To further support Ontario’s residents, the Ontario Electricity Rebate will see a significant boost, increasing to 19.3% as of November 1st, 2023. This enhancement aims to reduce the overall cost of electricity for households, providing financial relief to those who depend on it.

The OEB is committed to ensuring that Ontarians have access to affordable and sustainable energy options. These changes represent a substantial step in this direction and are expected to have a positive impact on electricity bills across the province.
